KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. AE (Bronze, 18 mm, 3.91 g, 8 h), Miletos, struck under Asandros, circa 323-319. Diademed head (of Apollo?) to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - AΛEΞANΔ[POY] Horseman riding right; behind, labrys and monogram; below monogram of ME. Price 2131. Minor traces of corrosion and the obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
